About ISIAL

ISIAL is a unique Bar Association of Michigan attorneys and law students who meet on a monthly basis to exchange ideas and information in a fun social setting. Founded in 1978, ISIAL is now approximately 400 members strong. Each meeting is filled with judges, private and public-sector attorneys, professors and others who are interested in things Irish.

In addition to our monthly meetings, our past activities have included bi-annual service projects with Focus: HOPE, assisting with the Legal Aid Clinic at Most Holy Trinity Church, outings to productions such as “Riverdance” and to sporting events, and our premier annual events: the St. Patrick’s Day Brunch in Corktown each March and the ISIAL Annual Dinner each Spring.

ISIAL offers great networking opportunities, but more importantly, it provides its members with friendship, camaraderie and the opportunity to form lasting professional and personal acquaintances–along with sharing a pint of Guinness or two.

The key to becoming a member of ISIAL is having a love of Ireland, its history, culture and people–you do NOT need to be of Irish ancestry.  Visit our Membership page to join.
